Gottlieb Tobias Wilhelm was a prolific illustrator who published Wilhelm's Unterhaltungen Naturgeschichte in Ausberg, Germany between the years 1794-1821. This extensive work contains accounts of exotic butterflies, shells, sea creatures, birds and many other creatures of the natural world.
